About the Organization

Family & Community Development services (FCDS) is a non-profit, tax-exempt, community based organization established in 1995 to serve low-income residents in the Greater Lansing area. A primary focus of our efforts is the provision of services to refugees and recent immigrants with limited English language skills. Many of our clients come from war-torn countries, such as Afghanistan, Bosnia, Iraq, Kosovo, Somalia and Sudan. FCDS programs have been supported by funding from the Ingham County health Department and non-profit organizations including the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, The Blue Cross & Blue Shield Foundation of Michigan and The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. To read more about programs offered by FCDS click here
